Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) is located in Nouaceur Province, approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Casablanca, Morocco's largest city.
It is the busiest airport in the country and a vital gateway for both domestic and international travelers. Nearly half of all international visitors arrive at CMN airport.

The airport is named after King Mohammed V, a pivotal figure in Morocco's independence. Still, you may find references to it simply as Casablanca Airport, including throughout this guide.
In 2024, the airport handled over 10 million passengers making it the third busiest in an African country.
The airport is currently undergoing significant expansion, including the construction of a new terminal designed to handle up to 20 million passengers annually. The expected completion date is 2029.
Major Airlines - Royal Air Maroc, Air Arabia Maroc
The airport serves as the primary hub for Royal Air Maroc, Morocco's national carrier. It flies to over 60 destinations in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and as far as North America.
Its regional subsidiary - Royal Air Maroc Express - serves most of the domestic routes plus a few direct flights to Spanish cities.
Air Arabia Maroc, an Emirati low-cost airline, is also based at CMN airport with scheduled flights to many cities in Southern Europe.
Other major airlines operating at CMN include Air France, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, and Qatar Airways.
In total, nearly 30 different airlines serve Casablanca Airport. Find a full list of airlines here.

Terminal Layout of Casablanca Airport
CMN currently operates two terminals:
Terminal 1: The older terminal where most of Royal Air Maroc’s flights are. Its partner airlines also fly out of and land at T1.
Terminal 2: Most of the international flights by foreign airlines use Terminal 2.
These two terminals are inside the same building and connected via a walkable corridor. Moving between T1 and T2 takes about 5-10 minutes.
A third terminal is under construction as part of the airport's expansion plans.
Connecting Flights and Transit
The airport's layout makes transfers between the two terminals relatively straightforward.
For international transits, you will be flying 2 times on Royal Air Maroc and can use the Terminal 1 transit zone. Approach the airline's transit service to access the boarding areas for your connecting flight.
The airline will provide you with certain perks (meals and complimentary lounge access) depending on the length of your transit. You will generally not be allowed to leave the transit zone unless you fulfill the necessary visa requirements to enter Morocco and decide to do so.
Connecting flights by any other airline will require that you clear Immigration and officially enter Morocco in order to check in for your next flight.
For transiting on domestic flights, you can just stick around the domestic boarding area while waiting for your next flight.

Wi-Fi at CMN
The free Wi-Fi at the airport is under the name “WIFI_Aeroport_MedV”. Connection is straightforward but limited to 30 minutes. When your session expires, you can just reconnect to get another 30 minutes.
Dining Options at Mohammed V International Airport
Both terminals of CMN offer various restaurants and eateries to choose from.
Some of the available options at Terminal 1 are:
Starbucks: A famous coffee house open 24/7.
Matsuri: Japanese cuisine with exceptional service.
Pizza Square: Offers Italian favorites like pizza and pasta.
At Terminal 2, some of the favorites are:
La Table Du Marché: Moroccan traditional meals near Gate F.
Pomme De Pain: A fast food chain offering burgers and fries.
Paul: A cafe with comfortable seating and various snacks to complement your coffee.
Lounges at Casablanca Airport
A couple of lounges are open daily at CMN airport to serve premium passengers, frequent fliers, those in transit, and those who pay the entrance fee to relax in a more exclusive area.
In Terminal 1 you only have the Royal Air Maroc Zenith Lounge which is available to Royal Air Maroc premium passengers and eligible loyalty program members.
This lounge offers long couches and individual seats, showers, a terrace with a smoking area, and complimentary food like Moroccan pancakes for breakfast and a selection of pastries, sandwiches, canapés, and cakes for lunch and dinner.
Terminal 2 offers a bit more choice between:
Pearl Lounge: Open 24/7 to various airline premium passengers and Priority Pass holders, plus anyone for a fee of 50 USD. It offers complimentary drinks and food, a children’s playroom, newspapers & magazines, a TV, and premium Wi-Fi access.
Medina Lounge - Vols intérieurs: A business class lounge for OneWorld alliance airlines. Offers a complimentary buffet of food and drinks.
Oasis Lounge: If you have a medium-length layover at Casablanca Airport, you will likely be given complimentary access to the Oasis Lounge. There are a few good places to rest inside and free food and drinks but guest reviews paint a very underwhelming picture of the overall experience.
Transport to and from Casablanca Airport
The best public transport option to travel between the airport and Morocco’s biggest city, Casablanca, is the train. The airport has an on-site train station (located on Level -1 in T1 Arrivals) with services to Casablanca's main train station, Casa Voyageurs. Trains leave about once per hour and the journey time to the city is about 45 minutes. The train is operational between 3 AM and 10 PM.
The other option is to take a taxi. They are readily available outside the terminal but opt for the official Casablanca taxis, which are white in color. A ride to the city center takes around 40 minutes, and fares are around 300 MAD.
Those who want to rent a car can do so from one of the car rental agencies with service stations in the airport's Arrivals area.
Last but not least, you can take a look at these private transfer options from Mohammed V International Airport. You can hire a car to take you to other cities in Morocco too.

Parking at Mohammed V Airport
The airport offers two parking lots located in front of Terminals 1 and 2 respectively. Both are two-story buildings and offer covered and uncovered parking suitable for either short or long stays.
The Terminal 1 parking lot has a capacity of over 2000 spaces. Parking outdoors costs 7 MAD per hour maxed at 36 MAD per day, whereas parking indoors incurs a fee of 9 MAD hourly or 53 MAD daily.
The parking lot in front of Terminal 2 also has a capacity of 2000 spaces spread over two levels. The prices are the same as at T1.
For quick drop-offs, you can use the area directly in front of the terminals. Parking there is free for the first 10 minutes but incurs a hefty 50/100 MAD fee for overstays (10/20 minutes).
Hotels near Casablanca CMN Airport
There aren’t any hotels inside the terminals. Most of the hotels in the vicinity of the airport are around 2-3 km away but practically all offer complimentary shuttles back and forth.
The closest hotel is Onomo Hotel about 2.3 km away. It’s a 3-star hotel with kind staff, top-notch service, and spotless rooms.
Another accommodation option is Sky Casa Airport which is about 5 km away but offers higher class rooms and premium dining.
