Menorca Airport (MAH) is the only commercial airport serving the Balearic island of Menorca. It is sometimes referred to as Mahón Airport, after the largest city and capital of the island.
The airport is located 5 km southwest of Mahón, or Maó in the local tongue. Cala en Porter, Son Bou, Cala Galdana, and Ciutadella are all within a 45-minute driving distance.
Menorca Airport handles around 4 million passengers annually, with most of those arriving between April and October, during the island’s high tourism season. During the winter, the airport mostly serves residents traveling to mainland Spain.
Major Airlines - Ryanair, Volotea
Most of the flights at Menorca Airport are operated by low-cost carriers:
Ryanair
Volotea
Jet2.com
easyJet
Vueling
Wizz Air
Transavia
These offer many seasonal flights from Western and Southern Europe.

Alongside, in the summer, several leisure and charter carriers start flying to Menorca. The most notable one is TUI Airways.
Domestic flights, especially to Madrid, Barcelona, and Málaga, continue throughout the year. Iberia, the national carrier, is a popular choice among Spaniards seeking full-service airlines.

For a quick meal, you can check out Burger King on Floor 2, airside.
For Spanish pastries like empanadas or ensaimadas, as well as sandwiches, go to Gourmed - Horno Santo Cristo, Paul, or La Boutique, all on Floor 2, airside. For snacks and pastries in Arrivals, visit Pannus on Floor 0.

Transport to and from the airport
The most useful public transport option is Bus Route 10, which connects the airport directly with Mahón's central bus station. At this station, you can connect to nearly all other lines that serve the island.
Bus Route 10 runs every 30 minutes during the day and every 1 hour in the early morning or late evening:
From the airport: from 5:55 AM to 0:15 AM (Jun to Sept) or 5:55 AM to 10:15 PM (Oct to May)
From Mahón Bus Station: 5:45 AM to 9:15 PM (Jun to Sept) or 5:45 AM to 7:15 PM (Oct to May).
The ticket costs 2.80 EUR, payable in cash to the driver.

During the summer season, there may be additional seasonal bus routes between the Airport and resort areas such as Cala en Porter, Son Bou, and Ciutadella, so you may not need to transfer in Mahón.
Alternatively, you can always get a taxi at the signed taxi rank outside Arrivals. Fares are fixed depending on the destination on the island and are a little higher during the night.
Rental cars are extremely popular. Menorca's beaches, coves, and rural attractions are spread across the island, so you may want to choose to drive rather than rely on the public buses. All rental car companies that operate in Menorca have stands in the Arrivals area of the airport. Rental prices vary considerably between the low and high seasons, as much as a 5 times difference.
Hotels near Menorca Airport
Because Menorca is a relatively small island, staying near the airport is rarely necessary. In most cases, you’d be best off if you stayed in Mahón and traveled to the airport just before your flight.
The nearest accommodations are small hotels and guesthouses, which can only be reached by private transport. For example, the Hotel Rural Biniati is a comfortable 3-star hotel in proximity to MAH.
