Vilnius Airport (VNO) is Lithuania’s largest airport and only of only three international airports, along with Kaunas (KUN) and Palanga (PLQ).
The airport is located about 6 km southeast of the city centre in the Naujininkai municipality.

In 2024, Vilnius Airport handled roughly 4.8 million passengers, making it the busiest airport in Lithuania second largest in the Baltic states after Riga Airport (RIX). It is among the 100 busiest airports in Europe.
A new departures terminal was completed in early 2025, doubling the possible passenger throughput of the airport.
Major Airlines - airBaltic
Vilnius is a hub for airBaltic, the largest airline in the Baltics. It flies to many of Europe’s largest cities, most of the neighboring countries, and provides seasonal flights to holiday destinations in Southern Europe.

The airport is also a focus city for the low-cost carriers Ryanair and Wizz Air, which provide cheaper airfares to cities throughout Europe.
The Lithuanian carrier GetJet Airlines serves the holiday market with seasonal charters to holiday destinations, which are normally smaller airports.
Other operators active at VNO include LOT, Lufthansa, and Turkish Airlines. Big European carriers such as Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Finnair, and SWISS connect Vilnius to their respective hubs in the Old Continent.
A list of all airlines at VNO and their route maps is available here.
Terminal Layout and Gates
The current single, consolidated terminal complex was last renovated in 2025.
The terminal features a modern departure hall and expanded gates. Check-in, security, and retail are close together.

A spacious gallery links the original terminal to the new additions to the complex, so connections between the terminals are seamless.
There are a total of 14 gates. Security waiting times rarely go above 10 minutes.
